Our Pastor

Anointed and appointed are just a few words used to describe Pastor Charles E. Odom.  He has an unprecedented anointing that makes him a remarkable visionary who had made an extraordinary impact in the community.  After 18 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service as a Supervisor in Customer Retail -he would step out on faith, with the support of his beautiful wife, First Lady, Minister Constance B. Odom and a few people who believed God was going to move in a miraculous way; Pastor Odom founded First Fellowship Baptist Church.  The first service was held on March 17, 2002.  In just eight short years, God has provided the increase in membership.

Minister Odom is a pastor with a global mission, which is to spread the word of God throughout the world.  His preaching and teaching focuses on empowering believers spiritually and developing them educationally.

Pastor Odom served as an ordained deacon for 23 years before acknowledging God’s call to preach the gospel. He served as an associate pastor under the late Rev. Dr. C. L. Stokes, pastor of Grace Covenant Baptist church of Atlanta, GA, for five years.  In addition to his role as pastor, Minister Odom and First Lady Odom are the founders of Pals and Gals Child Care and Learning Center in Norcross, Georgia – wherein they established Boswell Edward Academy with over 100 enrolled children and two state funded pre-k programs .  Pastor Odom received his higher education from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.  He is also a dynamic motivational speaker.

After eight years of worship in a small office building seating a little over 100, on November 1, 2009, First Fellowship Baptist Church congregation marched into their new sanctuary in Norcross, Georgia with the capacity to seat over 300 members and attendees.  Since establishing the church, Pastor Odom has ordained 8 deacons, licensed 6 ministers of the gospel and ordained 3. In addition to his ministers and deacons there have been over 12 ministries and auxiliaries created.  Pastor Odom has extended his reach into the community by becoming an active member of the Black Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Concerned Black Clergy of Atlanta as Associate Pastor to one of its founding members and his personal mentor the Reverend C.L. Stokes. In spite of the awesome anointing on his life, Pastor Odom is still modest enough to “keep it real”.  His humility allows him to connect with those from age eight months to eighty.

Pastor Odom and First Lady Odom are the proud parents of three children:  Terrell Dashone, Quentin Paul, and Michael Ransford.  They also serve as surrogate parents for many other children in the church and community.

Pastor Odom was born in Columbia, SC to the Late Rev. M. J. & Sis. Maggie B Odom. From that union, Pastor Odom has one sister, Audrey Jackson of Lithonia, GA.

Pastor Charles and Minister Constance Odom love the Lord. In Him they find strength to do all things.
